In January we announced that Chamberlain Law Group Ltd. had officially become “Legacy Law Group, Ltd.” We are now excited to announce that as of June 1, 2023, our firm has merged with the Maumee law firm of Bayer, Papay and Steiner.
“As our client base has continued to grow, we realized we needed to add several more attorneys,” says Richard Chamberlain, founder and managing attorney of Legacy Law Group. “I feel very comfortable with the merger since I worked with Bayer, Papay & Steiner for six years before establishing Chamberlain Law Group.”
“The attorneys we’ve added have more than 80 years of estate planning expertise combined between them, so the focus of Legacy Law Group will remain the same,” says Richard. The new attorneys joining Legacy Law Group from Bayer, Papay & Steiner are Debbie J. Papay and Chris E. Steiner.
Debbie has been a northwest Ohio attorney for almost four decades, concentrating in estate planning, elder law, probate, and real estate. “I enjoy helping clients have the peace of mind that they have planned for both what might be, and what will surely be,” says Debbie. She is the author or co-author of five books and is working on her sixth.
Chris has been an attorney in private practice for over 40 years. “I primarily work with people who are interested in creating a plan to care for themselves in the event of their disability and for their families in the event of their death,” says Chris.
In addition to Debbie and Chris, several Bayer, Papay & Steiner staff members have joined Legacy Law Group. They are Chelsea Podolsky, Paralegal and Janet Penka, Receptionist.
Attorneys Richard Chamberlain and Tim Alley round out the Legacy Law Group attorneys, along with former Chamberlain Law Group staff members Charlene Burke, Katie Buzdor and Stephanie Chamberlain. We’ve also added Becky Wulff, a new paralegal, to assist in serving our clients. Legacy Law Group now has a staff of 10 individuals.
“Each of our attorneys have established relationships with their clients, and that remains,” says Richard. “We will all continue to work with our individual clients as we’ve done in the past, but we’ll also be able to draw on the collective experience and expertise of any of the firm’s attorneys as we help our clients in their estate planning and administration.”
